Keyword density checker
Measure an exact target keyword and uncover the words and phrases repeated most often throughout your content.
Density is the share of total words occupied by the exact term or phrase.
Keyword analysis
Use the figures to spot repetition, not to chase a universal percentage.
Add a target keyword to measure its exact usage. The table below still shows repeated terms.
| Rank | Term or phrase | Occurrences | Density |

Density is a warning light, not a target.
A high number can reveal forced repetition. A low number can be perfectly acceptable when the page covers the topic clearly.
Light usage
The exact phrase appears sparingly. Check topic clarity before adding another mention.
Usually natural
This broad range often reads comfortably, but context matters more than the number.
Review repetition
Read every mention in context and remove wording that sounds forced or repetitive.
Count the phrase, then read the page.
The tool can find repeated patterns quickly. Only a person can decide whether each use is necessary and natural.
How is keyword density calculated?
For a phrase, Rankauto multiplies the number of exact matches by the number of words in the phrase, then divides by the total word count.
Does keyword density still matter?
It is useful for quality control, not as a standalone ranking formula. Search systems understand meaning, entities and related language beyond exact repetition.
Should I copy a competitor's percentage?
No. Compare coverage and search intent first. A similar percentage does not make two pages equally useful or competitive.
